It was the morning of their wedding and Kevin woke up with a migraine. Quickly sending text messages to their friends and family asking them to pray, they gathered their bags and left for the church. Upon arriving, Kevin went to lie down while Royal started with her hair and makeup. When the news came that Kevin was feeling much better and his headache was gone, Royal was overjoyed.
With thoughtful details like a custom handmade wedding gown and a wedding cake that traveled all the way from Georgia, Kevin and Royal’s wedding day couldn’t have reflected their love story any better. Gathering with a small number of close family and friends, they shared their vows and then moved to their reception for a delicious meal of grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and carrot cake for dessert.
Royal had a good friend from Georgia who grew up in the kitchen and had taught himself how to bake cakes. When she requested a semi naked carrot cake, he didn’t disappoint. Baking the layers in Georgia, he brought them safely all the way to Indiana, creating a beautiful, double tier wedding cake.
Kevin and Royal, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your big day! The love between you two, and the calmness you exuded made our job a breeze. 🙂 Enjoy your honeymoon in Florida and I can’t wait to watch God continue to work in your lives and get to walk with you on your journey!
