I had so much fun shooting this anniversary session in my hometown, Shipshewana, Indiana. Leann planned a 25th anniversary trip for her husband, Mark, complete with a ride in Blue Gate’s beautiful white open carriage. She reached out to me telling me about her vision and I absolutely loved it!

Blue Gate’s carriage drivers were so gracious as to run a special carriage just for this shoot. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were so patient while we got our shots. I was more than a little proud of my little hometown and am so grateful to live in a place of such good hearted souls.

When Aaron and I asked Mark and Leann what it takes to be married successfully for 25 years they were quick to respond. They shared that open and frequent communication is so important. It’s also really important to make time for connection and spending one on one time together.

Leann & Mark, thank you so much for finding me on the internet and reaching out to me! I was so honored that you saw something in me and my work that made you say, “I want that.” Meeting complete strangers and trusting them to help you feel comfortable and making you look good on camera is no small thing.
