She’d been told many times, “Hey, there’s this guy you should meet!” and when a friend mentioned yet another potential guy, Caroline just shrugged it off. Several months later she was informed that “this guy” was going to be at a volleyball game that night. Caroline spent most of the night playing another game without Ben making an appearance and didn’t think much of it.

As the evening drew to a close, some of the guys wanted to play volleyball yet so everyone went over to where a lively game of volleyball was in full swing. Ben always played volleyball in bare feet and Caroline noticed he was obviously comfortable in his own skin. Standing off to the side as Ben talked with her brother, she wasn’t about to go introduce herself but her friend insisted and dragged her over to meet him. They said hello, chatted a bit, and that was it. At least that was it for Caroline.

Ben had other ideas and several days later he messaged her on Instagram. They started chatting and he asked her about her favorite songs. When Caroline found out they had many similar interests and got to know him better, she started questioning, “Was this actually a possibility?” There had been many times when her answer had been an obvious “no” and she was committed to being single if it never worked out. After spending time in prayer and receiving multiple confirmations, she knew this was the fulfillment of her dreams.

Caroline, I’ve known Ben for quite a few years and I’ve never seen him light up the way he does when he’s with you. You truly bring out the best in each other and I’m so excited to celebrate your love this summer at The Barn on Stoney Hill!
