They were polar opposites turned friends until they realized they felt something more for each other. When Royal’s brother started hanging out with Kevin, she offered to drop him off at his house. After making the 45 minute trip almost weekly, one day she decided to stay and hang out. This turned into a regular occurrence and they soon became a close knit trio. When Royal starting liking Kevin as more than a friend and her brother shared that the feelings were mutual, they decided to be clear on where they stood with with each other.

After dating a short time, Kevin’s family moved into a new house and they were all together for the weekend. Just days before the moving date, Kevin randomly called Royal and told her they should do a photo shoot on Sunday. She was a little suspicious but after realizing they were probably going to be really busy with moving she thought nothing more of it and said, “ok.”

Even after both of their families mentioned they were going to be at the park for pictures too but weren’t dressed up, she still didn’t realize what was happening. Then just as they were getting ready for their first picture, Kevin took his jacket off and Royal turned to find him down on one knee. Without answering, she burst into tears as she realized he was asking her to spend the rest of her life with him.

She did say “yes” then and we loved getting to hear their story and seeing the warm tangible love between them.
