They planned a destination wedding in Hawaii and were married beside the ocean with the sun setting behind them. Paul & Rachel opted for a simple laid back vibe and said their vows surrounded by a small number of close friends and family. As the ceremony began a nearby group of local teenagers equipped with a bluetooth speaker began to voluntarily serenade them. When the ceremony ended, Rachel made a special request and the two created a beautiful impromptu dance floor on the beach.

Choosing to head back to the large Air B&B where many of the guests were staying instead of having a formal reception, we ended the night with local pizza, cocktails, and lots of laughter. Of course a wedding reception isn’t complete without the classic Shoe Game and had everyone in stitches as friends murmured in agreement. After a dessert of ice cream and raspberry lemon wedding cake made by Rachel’s mom, Paul & Rachel headed out on their honeymoon accompanied by lots of good natured tinkling spoons.

Paul & Rachel, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day and an even greater gift to walk beside you as friends. In the few months Aaron and I have been married, we’ve encountered our greatest challenges but also our greatest blessings. Marriage isn’t always easy but as you focus on God’s idea and purpose for marriage, you’ll experience the fulfillment of laying down your life in order to love each other well. We look forward to many more years of friendship and know you’ll change the world by the way you love!
