I had a feeling Lisa and Lester’s Coppes Commons wedding was gonna be a fun one but I didn’t expect their incredible attention to detail. From handwritten place cards for the servers to the carefully chosen jewelry Lisa wore, each piece reflected their graceful, elegant taste. Not every couple can rock the dance floor alongside their guests but these two shone as they danced the Virginia Reel in their wedding gown and stiff shoes.

On almost every wedding day, things come up unexpectedly. Through it all, I love how our couples trust us to take care of them and get amazing photos they’ll treasure for a lifetime. Lisa & Lester’s wedding day started out with clear skies but as the afternoon wore on, we were suddenly met with an autumn shower. Just as we finished up the first look, I looked outside and it had stopped raining.

Lisa was hesitant when I asked her if she’d be willing to run outside for some bride and groom portraits. When I assured her that we’d stay on the sidewalk and take good care of her dress, she bravely said, “OK,” and I’m so happy she did because those are my absolute favorite photos of the entire day.

Lisa and Lester, thank you for your kind hearts. We loved getting to share this day with you and see the way you have fun together. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the challenges of married life with jobs, responsibilities, and running a home. If I could leave you with one thing, it would be to never stop having fun.

Turn on your favorite song and take time to dance just because you can and because it’s something you love to do together.
