I fell in love with senior photography when I shot these Indiana botanical senior photos! I had never really considered it as something I would enjoy but there’s something about this life stage. It’s a season of excitement, big dreams, freedom, and hard work. “Who am I?” and “what will I become?” are questions facing you. Your life is hanging in the balance of being a fun loving teenager but also hyper aware of the responsibility before you.

Janice is my cousin and used to live within minutes of my house while growing up. At one point all of my dad’s family lived within about a mile of each other and we would hang out all the time. I have so many good memories of pool parties, chasing kittens, and sleepovers with all the cousins.

We all scattered in different directions as time went on and we got older. I don’t see Janice or the rest of my cousins nearly often enough anymore and it was so much fun to hang out again! It’s kind of bittersweet to see everyone grow up. Sweet because we all get to choose our own path and I love seeing each one mature into beautiful young women and hardworking gentlemen. But it’s also a little bitter because it means we do go different directions and all have to find our own way in life.

Janice, you are so stunning! I love seeing the way you know who you are. You have a quiet confidence about you that doesn’t need to flaunt itself but also goes before as you walk into a room. You have a beautiful smile that shines from within. Share that with the world! It’s not always popular to be kind, to do the right thing, but I know you have the heart it takes to to do hard things.
